A kada is the broad, solid bangle worn one to a wrist — heavier in look than a regular bangle and far more of a statement. Saloni Fashion Jewellery stocks kadas in silver-plated finishes, in cuff, charm, butterfly, evil eye and snake designs. Our kada guide covers how a kada differs from a Sikh kara and a kangan, and how to size and open one.

How is a kada different from a bangle?
Bangles are worn in sets and are usually thin; a kada is wide, worn singly or in a pair, and often has an openable hinge or adjustable gap so it fits without sliding over the hand.
Are kadas sized, or one-size?
Most of ours are openable with an adjustable gap, which is what lets a kada work across a range of wrist sizes without ordering multiple sizes. Fully closed, non-adjustable kadas are less common in this collection and are marked as such on the product page.
Can a kada be worn on both wrists?
Yes, though the traditional bridal styling is one on the dominant hand paired with a stack of bangles, or a matching pair for a more symmetric look. Both are common; it comes down to preference.
Do kadas work for daily wear?
The plain, lighter-weight designs do. The broad kundan kadas are festive and bridal pieces — comfortable for a function, but heavier than most people want for a full working day.
Can I order kadas in bulk?
Yes. WhatsApp +91 98705 89560 for rates from our wholesale showroom in Santacruz West, Mumbai.
