What is a kalgi?

A kalgi is a decorative plume or brooch pinned to a groom's safa (turban) or sherwani. It is a traditional groom accessory, also worn as a brooch with a kurta or bandhgala.

How do I pin a kalgi on a safa?

Position it at the centre front of the turban and secure it through the fabric with the pin or clip at the back. If you are using a rented safa, pin it before the wedding day so you can check the angle.

Are these kalgi real gold?

No. They are fashion jewellery: a brass base with gold plating and kundan-style stones or pearls, not solid gold.

Do you deliver across India?

Yes, shipping is free across India. Orders usually dispatch in 1-2 days and arrive in about 4-15 days. Damaged or wrong items should be reported within 2 days of delivery - see our refund policy.
