Maharashtrian nath
The traditional oval or crescent-shaped bridal nose ornament, also called nathiya or nathni. Many of ours are clip-on designs worn without a piercing. See nath jewellery.
Thushi
A close-fitting Maharashtrian necklace of small beads, traditionally worn by brides at the base of the neck.
Chinchpeti
A traditional Maharashtrian choker-style necklace. If you want a modern choker look, see choker sets.
Saaj and Kolhapuri saaj
Saaj, also spelled saaz, is a traditional necklace strung with small pendant charms. The Kolhapuri saaj is the well-known version from Kolhapur.
Tanmani and pohe haar

Bugdi
Also spelled bugadi: an ear ornament worn on the upper part of the ear, often as a small stud or cluster. A press bugadi is a clip-on version that needs no upper-ear piercing.
Jodvi or bichu
Toe rings worn by married women, also called bichiya, bichave or bichu.
Kandora and waki
Kandora is the Marathi name for a waist belt (see waist belts and kandora), and waki (also vanki) is an armlet worn on the upper arm.
