Wholesale Jewellery for Wedding Season: A Retailer's Stocking Plan

by Jihaan Savla on Oct 16, 2026

Quick answer: For wedding season, stock necklace sets deepest, add a smaller run of maang tikka and kaan chain, and add hathphool and kamarband once your necklace designs start moving. Wedding season runs roughly October to February with a smaller peak in April and May, and Saloni Fashion Jewellery recommends ordering six to eight weeks ahead. Orders go through WhatsApp at +91 98705 89560.

A bridal counter sells looks, not single pieces, so the order has to be built as a set of categories. This plan is for shops, boutiques and resellers buying wholesale fashion jewellery from one supplier. It follows the structure on our wholesale bridal jewellery page and our general wholesale page.

Which categories make up a wedding season order?

Six categories cover a complete bridal look: necklace sets, maang tikka, hathphool, kamarband, kaan chain and mangalsutra. Most bridal retailers buy them together, and all six can go into one order and one shipment from our Santacruz West showroom. Browse the retail range in bridal jewellery sets to see the designs.

What should I stock deepest?

Necklace sets. They are the highest-volume piece, they sell as complete looks, and they set the metal tone and stone colour that everything else is matched to. Maang tikka and kaan chain come next: they cost less per unit and are usually bought alongside a set. Hathphool and kamarband move slowest, but a shop without them loses the customer who wants the whole look in one visit.

How do I start a bridal counter from scratch?

Start with necklace sets and a smaller run of maang tikka and kaan chain. Add hathphool and kamarband after you see which necklace designs are actually selling. If you are testing a supplier for the first time, our best sellers collection is ranked by what retailers reorder, which makes it the lowest-risk place to begin.

Do pieces from different categories match automatically?

Within one necklace set, yes: the earrings are plated and stone-set in the same run as the necklace. Across categories, matching is done by eye. A kamarband or hathphool bought separately has to match the necklace in metal tone and stone colour, so tell us which set you are pairing against and we will point you to designs that go with it instead of you guessing from a photo.

When should I place the order?

Order six to eight weeks before the period you are stocking for. Indian wedding season runs roughly October to February, with a smaller peak around April and May. Broad kundan necklace sets, kamarband and hathphool are the pieces most likely to sell out first. If you are reading this after the season has opened, start with the fast movers and add the rest in a second order.

What is the minimum order?

It depends on the category and design, and we do not publish one figure. For most fast-moving lines the entry quantity is low enough to test a design before committing. Message us what you are looking for and we will tell you exactly what applies.

How does a wholesale order work?
